Sebastian Sturm "Get Up & Get Going"
"Get Up & Get Going" - the 3rd Sebastian Sturm album is for the 30-year Aachen nothing more than a reboot. After the two predecessors "This Change is Nice" (2006) and "One Moment in Peace" (2008) published on 14/10/2011 for the first time an album directly from Rootdown Records. In addition, Sebastian goes with "Exile Airline" deliberately back into a traditional band structure, which is composed mostly of well-known and also from new Weggfährten.
In winter 2010/2011 split up after 5 successful years, the ways of Sebastian Sturm, his previous live band Jin-Jin and his producer and manager Martin Pauen. Alongside Sebastian can be found in this watershed Danger Dan (Keys, Vocs), Moses C. (Riddimgit., Vocs, Perc.), Helmuth barrel (bass), Philip Breidenbach (git. / Production) and Samuel tearing (drums) in a constellation and start fresh again after a short rehearsal period as "Exile Airline" Sebastian's songs, which are present in bulk acoustic versions already, in the studio together to reissue.
In the prevailing atmosphere, the interaction and the shared vision is immediately transferred to the recording. Musically, however, retain Sebastian Sturm & Exile airline in the red thread of the predecessor. The basis is as before, the roots rock reggae of the 70s, with accents and certainly bring facets of modern times. Then presents "Get Up & Get Going" and much more playful and shy toothed, as in "responsibility" not afraid to pull back approach, elements such as the influential indie-rock guitar here. The acoustic tracks "Faith" and "Get Going" have retained their original form and Chrakter quite clearly from a sense of how caused Sebastian's songs, with tape before they are put forth in the limelight. Anyway, the band is the central focus of the sound image to "Get Up & Get Going," just because you can capture with this programming, nor want.
Sebastian Sturm & Exile airline can take it, of course, and not go after the album release on tour through France, Switzerland and Germany to bring the songs to where they belong: on the stage!

REGGAE NEWS Review: Clinark "Journey To Foreign"
Nearly four years it took to Clinark his solo album "Journey To Foreign" was published but the long gestation period has not hurt the quality.
Clinark had previously worked in various bands and combos, until he decided in 2004 to London to produce a solo album for which he joined the staff of the Mafia and Fluxy scene sizes ensured that even the same drum and bass-lines recording it. Even before the musician from Bermuda had made a name as "reggae torch" and recalls his fantastic voice and stage presence of his rootsy track of the good old days of the 70s and early 80s. His career clearly demonstrates his musical skills that go far beyond simple talent out and they quickly learn that someone here has really learned to make music. Even though Bermuda is not just for the typical Caribbean reggae scene appears, but just from here, a new size of reggae come to believe not just by his Jamaican home, but through his musical repertoire. This man can not only sing, but also each of its 19 riddims self-produced, and play under his direction by experienced and well-known musicians have.
Such a big-Culture Roots album in the tradition of his own musical heroes Aswad, Morgan Heritage and Luciano was born. The latter is also represented with the same title Glorify. In addition, there are other important names of the current Roots Culture Scene as Maxi Priest, Fantan Mojah and Troy Anthony.
This plate will make a splash here as well, as since September 2008 in England, where it is already climbing out of the subculture in the radio charts.
Me personally, the riddims sound just a little too much could be deeper on the computer and the bass, but I'm looking forward to hear soon, Clinark on local dances.

REGGAE NEWS Review: Mellow and Pyro Ratz Fatz Peng
Mellow and Pyro Ratz Fatz Peng:
Say only must be said that the plate is in no case a waste of space in a well-packed grill bag. She is just perfect for a barbecue at a German river beach there to dream of tropical.
On the board have been able to stage musician and Mellow Mark Pyromerz together with the combo Ruffcats their press so often at festivals proven ability to vinyl. They indulge in a rather unusual mix of reggae, ska, soul, hip hop and Latin rock. Some of the songs may remind you of Beyonce, other more Mano Chao. Where round but also danceable Skasongs the total package.
This mix makes it possible to drive from one to sixteen to listen through without being annoyed, which is unfortunately rather become a rarity, but this program seems to be. Swinging reggae comes off with Latin sounds ala chilligem Mano Negra.
And just when one is in danger of drifting off into a nod, raise one of Skasong "dance in the rain" again.
It would not be surprised if you walk through the park on Sundays past were sonicated on grilling colorful groups from around the songs of Ratz Fatz Peng would. As I said a summer park grill, leaves you wanting more.
